Since I'm selling a set of these rims (hint hint nudge nudge)...the rims have "SUBARU" stamped on the back side of one of the spokes.

Guessing Subaru decided to make it themselves? Therefore the rim is as heavy as their "compact" cars are?!?

see here, lower right spoke

I thought I read that these particular wheels weigh something like 26-28 lbs each. I could be wrong, but hopefully someone can post up the actual weight to confirm.

i like the gunmetal version of them better. I'd rock a set if they came in 5x100

Yup, the 5-spoke stockers for the 08+ STi's are heavy, although I actually like how they look (powdercoated to gunmetal or black = even better).

I think Subaru did that so they can charge more for the BBS package.

Yeah, Dan from Mach V had confirmed the weight as 27.45 lbs per wheel.

I feel the opposite.

I never liked the 10 spoke BBS wheel from before, but I like the 5 spokes.

Sue me.

Well, they are the standard wheels for the 08 - Present STI. The only way to not have them is if you opted for the $2K BBS package or the $3.8K BBS + Navigation package.

maybe they want to appeal to a broader market. Figure subie heads like us will always like the car, if anything we would just buy new wheels. On the other hand other consumers may not like the sporty look, and rather have something on the plain side. So it just seems they are trying to appeal to a broader market.
