New tires and Alarm. What kind?
I am looking at getting some new tires and an alarm. BUt what kind should i get. I was thinking about getting some Yokohama V4s. I like to stay with M+S cuz my tires last a long time. BUt i am not like my potenzas that came stock on my car. I hear that i will have a little more road grip with my yoko's but the goodness of the m+s grip. I guess I am not really asking for suggestions. I am more wondering if anyone has experience with those tires.
My next question is a suggestion question. I am looking for a good car alarm. I know that the framless windows are a problem so has anyone had good success with any car alarms out there please tell. I am looking at a Viper system maybe. I am thinking I want a 2 way cuz those have saved my butt in the past. $300-$400 is what I am looking to spend. Let me know what you guys have.
One last thing. I was thinking about getting some mud flappies for the back of the scoob. I have an 2006 wagon. wrb. Has anyone else with a wagon done the mudflaps. If so let me see some pics please. And where did you get yours.

For tires you might want to look at Falken Azenis RT615. They are as grippy as hell and last a good length of time. You can get a set installed for $620ish. Try Orlando at Auto Innovations in Milpitas, he beats the prices of all the big chains, mention your an i-clubber and he will hook you up.
If you have serious cash for a seriously sticky set of tires go for the Bridgestone RE-01R's, Yokohama Advan Neovas or Dunlop Direzza z1 Star Spec.
Hope this helps

I'm sure everyone on the boards will agree with you that the RE92s that come on a WRX are pure trash.
As for commenting on the tires that you're thinking about, I don't really have much input, other than the fact I've never been a huge fan of Yoks. Though, I can just point out, if you're staying with M+S, I'd highly recommend the Pirelli PZero M+S. I had so much more confidence while driving on those tires than I do with my RE960s right now.

What are you looking for in the tire aside from lasting a long time? Do you drive in the snow ever? If you never drive in the snow, there is no reason to get an all season tire.

As for mudflaps, most people do the Rally Armor ones at all 4 corners

I went with Pirelli PZero Nero's and i loved them but now i have Kumho ASX because I'm cheap and they are pretty good. As for the security system i went with a python 990 which is the same as the viper 5500. It has a 2 way pager that has a 1 mile range. I got it for $500 with glass sensor, tilt sensor, and trunk release. I also got some Rally Armor flaps which i love so much, they keep my car clean from mud :P

Ive had the Pzero Neros, RE01R, RE70, and now Pilot Sport PS2. So far the PS2's are my favorite since they handle well in the wet and dry. RE01R were great in the summer, but very scary during the rainy season. And I just didn't like the Pzero Neros at all.
As far alarm, Im running Viper XV740564651 or something like that and live in the eastside. You just gotta be smart about where you park and what time if youre afraid of your stuff getting jacked

As far as mudflaps on a wagon, this isn't a logo-shot angle but these are Rally Armor limited on my '05. I've been pleased with them, even after curbing and ripping off the right rear -- it came through almost unscathed. I got mine from JNJ, but they're available quite a few places (including direct from R.A.)

(Incidentally in this profile picture our lovely model is wearing the Falken RT-615 summer-only tires that glenspen mentioned above.)
