New pizza toy?
This: http://www.craigslist.org/eby/car/29563570.html
Plus this: http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...t&sku=01-24600
= 220 (CARB APPROVED) rwhp in a 2250lb car.
Do we need a third car?

way too small. have you ever driven an S2000? those cars are insanely fun to drive. ive driven many nice cars, and the S2000 is ranks right up there with a 911 convertible (for the price it is an incredible car).
If you are looking into that turbo kit, you would only need to drop an extra 3-4K for a car that puts out more HP and is way better looking

I have not driven an S2k. They are quite sex0r looking. Something about a zero torque car with a superbike engine does not appeal to me very much, along with the fact that they are still $20k++.

I'm mainly looking for a cheaper miata to tool around in and work on and turbo just for fun. Realistically I would probably turbo an older model...I don't really care about CARB cert.
Thanks for your input guys...who knows what I'll do...that green one turned out to be crappy and the dumb woman won't deal on the price.

Shiv used to be well-known for tuning 500+hp turbo Miatas.
I dunno, since I'm not an Umpa Lumpa, I could never own one...
my project car is a 1968 BMW 2002...

Why is this forum so cool? here we are talking about miatas and BMWs and stuff on an suby forum.
at dtmpower.net, you get scored if you dont own or "want" a BMW.
i dont even own a subaru and im pretty happy with my bimmer but i still feel more at home on this forum than i do on dtmpower.
thanks for being so cool, everyone

We're mostly jerks. lol
It's about the love for all cars. Loving a car for the name badge on the front is lame...it's all about the driving experience.
I used to be a big anti-miata guy just because they were so girly looking and very stereotypically ghey. Then I drove one at Mazda Rev-it-up and I bought one within the next month. Got rid of it to mod the rex further, but I miss it alot.
Nothing like a big power on oversteering smoky turn in a miata to absolutely put down those "ghey" rumors.
Don't worry that you dont' have a subie...I'll still come here when I don't.
