So are you saying for Mr X to not be a moderator in other forums as well?
Even Soggy Poodles is a mod in other forums.
Bottom line is moderators moderate in all categories from BAIC to Hawaii, to Canada, to Newb FAQ and all the way down to the dumpster. Location does not matter, as long as the person who is the moderator is doing what is expected of them.

Seems as how this WAS posted in the BAIC I think it's safe to assume that they're looking for someone that frequents the BAIC and should probably be at least reasonably close to the BAIC.
Go educate yourself on the MOD status and come back at me later... hint... you'll notice that the folks listed under each forum change...

Exactly.
Some folks cross over some folks don't. Doesn't mean they don't all have something to do or say about the well being of the forums. And it's good to have people that specialize (frequent) on particular forum.
The other site I was on had mods that did everything and had mods that were limited. If you were brought in to moderate on section that's what you did. There's no way a handful of people can cover an entire site and do it well if they don't have a place to call home to begin with.

As for the kettle... kettle thing. I don't think I posted anything that wasn't on topic until you and lifeplaza came at me. I mearly said why 2 individuals should not be considered... that would be the definition of on topic in regards to this thread.
As for the question...
Some threads should be moved. Our tech forums are a sad slow place so I understand why some folks post locally. Some times that's fine sometimes it's not. Some times it's a retarded question that's already been asked and answered 100 times if folks would search. So I think it's a post to post deal.
As for O.T. The local sections ARE O.T. forums so why would I move something out of an O.T. section because it's O.T.?
The BAIC is a special place full of special folks... and I mean that literally. LOL!
so yes... fun is fun.
I was just trying to help Max out and keep the post on topic... find him a mod. A new mod.
