correct it is not fair. they are two different animals completely.

I am not saying Eric is bad or doenst know what he is doing, I have no clue at all (I am sure he could do a brake job like a lot of people here)

but if it goes bad like a caliper goes out or you are not happy with the job, or what ever thats why you go to a shop and thats what you pay for. There is also the posibility that something else could be wrong and the shops see this stuff ALL DAY LONG they would have a better eye for it. I sell parts by day and work on my car on the weekends. I know what I am doing but I still go to shops for stuff.

and i dont work my friends cars anymore. It is just not worth it.
