new body kits
i have an 05 sti, and it seems that body styling is pretty limited for our cars, even for the bugeyes and new gen sti.
im thinking the reasoning for this is the companies dont think theres enough demand for new products.
my answer to this is everybody needs to start calling or e-mailing parts manufacturers and asking about product devolpment. if we dont ask, how will they know we want it?
call companies like kaminari (1-800 BUY-KITT), prodrive, and any others you would like to see new products from.
we could even invite companies here to show us concepts and get feedback, so we really get what we want.
just an idea...

nothing really new out though. i know theres zerosports (rare and expensive), chargespeed makes new stuff (new kits are not my style) i wish c-west would make a version 2 for the sti, im unimpressed with the lip they have out.
i know theres aqua and all the other kits, i just want some more variety.
that and kaminari is supposed to use my car to make the 04-05 kit, so i want people to call them so they get on it. = P

well. if Kaminari is gonna use your car, wouldnt YOU be the one calling them on it? i mean, if they already have a car theyre gonna use as a development mule, it means that there already is enough of a demand for them to find a mule in the first place...

I think more people, especially now with all the import attention, are heading away from body kits. Also, I can't speak for i-club, but for myself, I think that body kits are more rice than anything else and would rather put the money in other parts. It seems that most people on the boards, just want a nice looking front lip.

well, it is for some, and its not for others, but dont knock it. personally, i like power and looks, its just how i am, you can call me a ricer, you can call me whatever, but its what i like, i love walking out in my driveway and saying to myself "DAMN! who has something like this sitting in THIER driveway? NOBODY!" its fun. i grew up watching MECHA anime, and i loved watching something ordinary turn into something breathtaking to behold. i lve the stock look of the sti, but i also enjoy making something my own.

Gruppe-S has a good selection of stuff. Also you can always go with the JDM products, but those are very pricy.
If you think its bad for the 05, try to find something for the 06 that isnt 2500 or e-gay.
