Ah... that is a very worldly and fatherly statement & also quite original I might add.

But I think his last line "They finally got me!" admits quite perfectly that he earned it ~

Also jamming radar is a felony.. Laser is not.

Why? Detectors are legal in the state of California. If an officer ever brings that up as evidence in court, the judge should disregard it as it proves nothing.

Then again, I guess I don't know if the detector automatically makes the officer give me a ticket since lately I've only been harassed by police, never been pulled over.

In some states they can mark you as being a porfessonal speeder when caught with a detector. Then the fines go up.

I'm talking about California. There's no law against detectors, only jammers.

CHP's job is to deal with all traffic. I really don't have much beef with the CHP other than the fact they've swerved and pretended to hit me, then cut over 2 lanes to get to the exit junction to another freeway and when they pace me and pay no attention to the guy who is tailing everyone and almost hit 3 people cuz he's weaving and trying to go 90 when everyone else is going 65 cuz of the CHP car.

No it's not illegal but it gurantees you a ticket since the cop won't like it and it is illegal and ticketable to have it stuck to your windshield (a lot of people don't realize this).

I try to keep my car and such as low profile as possible. No sense in attracting attention if it's avoidable.

I love my V1. Not so much for speeding since I'm really good about not doing that but, just for knowing ahead of time who is around trying to catch people. I take it on my drives to Southern California (which are often) just for my piece of mind.

I have mine mounted above the rear view mirror. In the space that the little plastic fake visor thing would block if you had it down. I'm probably wrong, but if you can have as dark of tint as you want there (is it 5 inches from the top of the windshield?), or the little plastic visor thing thing that can block that area, why should it be illegal to have something mounted there?

Haha.. Why should it be illegal? It shouldn't of course but remember you are also not allowed to cross the street without assistance from a crosswalk signal.

There are so many stupid rules like that - probably originally put in place with good intent (ie: don't attach a bicycle to your windshield or something) but end up just being another stupid rule/reason to pull someone over for no reason.

I have a nav unit stuck to my windshield for my work. It is very low and not blocking anything. If I get pulled over for it, I will gladly accept a citation for it. It's really dumb.
