so when you're late for work just throw on the jason mask. it is fullproof because anyone could have borrowed your car. i wouldn't encourage this behavior though

While its true that it is illegal to have lisence plate covers.....there is NO LAW that states your plates HAVE to be photogenic...to anyone....just that they cant be covered or hidden....plus, if you saw the video (news channel 31 I think) on the phantomplate.com website...they state that the spray is the most effective anyway...and its undetectable by the naked eye, and does not distort the numbers on your plate when looking at it, only when a flash goes off, it simply reflects the flash back to the camera, thus over exposing it and making it look invisible. And the spray is not a "cover".

Touche!

I'm thinking about getting some, not because I run red lights...but just incase....and besides, its my rebelling against the gov't getting money out of me, via stupid tix....those : monkey: F*CKERS have already busted me for window tint...which is really stupid IMO...if there is one law that I feel is strictly for generating revenue......its gotta be the window tint laws......

Wasn't there a big story about this not so long ago because the companies that install and run these got a fraction of the tickets . . . so somehow they kept adjusting the timing until people were getting tickets when the lights were still green?

but isn't there a spray on thing for the license plates that look almost clear-ish to the naked eye but cameras wont be able to get the pic of your plates cuz it reflects all the lights off the flash or whatever....maybe i'm just dreaming...i'm too tired.

So wait people are suggesting that in the time that you realize you are accidently running a yellow that might turn red with a photo camera present, you should pick up a magazine and obstruct your view as you fly through the intersection too??
Would be funny if they gave you a ticket for reckless or obstructed vision due to the side view picture of you holding the magazine in front of your face.

You might as well say to go through at 150mph because you'll be going so fast that the camera will take a picture of the empty road where you should have been.

The whole issue about the companies that installed the photo systems getting a "kickback" is due to the cities not being able to afford the cost, and the manufacturer not willing to install without significant payment.
So they entered into a deal where a portion of the proceeds goes to the manufacturer to pay off the system.
Not really that unusual.
Now whether the light timing was changed to generate more revenue is another bad issue and all up in the air because no one would want to admit that.
