Needs some ideas on where to live

I am planning to move out of my current apartment but not until I find a better place. The recent break-ins in my community is getting me worried.

I work in Vallejo, and my girlfriend works in the city. So it has to be somewhere in between. Any of you have any ideas?

Somewhere that's in a save neighborhood.

I looked through CL. Can't find anything good available right now

have you tried Pinole, Hercules, Emeryville, El Sobrante, El Cerrito hills, Arlington?

go to the grocery store and grab the For Rent booklets. and then check out some of those neighborhoods and places.

It's in Vallejo, but the Glen Cove area isn't too bad; I'm renting a house for a decent price, seems to be a quiet neighborhood with no ghettoness going on....

benicia is nice.... there are areas that are bad.... but glen cove and south hampton are the nicer areas near the water off military is cool too.

el cerrito is bad near the bart station and target....but if you go more into the el cerrito hills/arlington area those are million dollar homes easy....

el sobrante/richmond carriage hills and also up behind Adaches and the methodist church off of appian/san pablo damn are really nice areas.

Have you looked into Point Richmond and Port Costa? How about Albany or Berkeley?
