Girlfriend needs a car.. 10k budget.. any ideas?

So here's the deal, My girlfriend needs a car and her parents are giving her a nice 10k budget and I've been looking but I would like to see what you guys can come up with. Has to be automatic (unfortunately) and preferably a sedan. Any and all posts will be helpful. Thank you!

What else is she looking for?

Something reliable?
Good gas mileage?

Any extra info would help.

It really doesnt matter. She really likes black or white cars, She doesnt drive in harsh weather and if we needed to we would probably take my car. She just needs something to get around town, and from city to city not really a commuter so gas mileage doesnt really matter. Reliability would be a plus but I honestly want her to get a sick car that I would enjoy driving. lol. I was looking at G35's but they are all salvaged for that price. Even if it is a little over 10k that would be alright too. Thank guys!

Haha so manu categories to choose from..I usually start by body style, then by country of origin

undr 10k now that's considered a "sick car"?

I realy like my gf's 2.5i...its an 07 black ha probably what your girl would want...its been really reliable since she got it and its an impreza so its nice to have the option to swap parts back and forth..its an auto too..

Or acura tsx
If that's too small a 2.5i legacy..acura tl, gs/es300/sc300 (ha I'm nameing cars id drive if I got rid of my wrx)

You're all gonna laugh at me but it's all about needs.

What does she need/want. Is she looking for a "cool" car, gas mileage, new, used, etc.

If you really look around you can get a lot of car for $10-14k. Maybe look at Nissan Versa's. My god sister has one. We borrowed it for a couple months. Good gas mileage. Rides nice. Roomy for how small it is. Get the hatch. It's gutless and it's not cool but it's a good little car for the money. You could get in to a new one for not much more than $10k

If you're looking for a cool car buy that dudes wagon... there's a guy selling a wrx wagon for $6500 and the motor is being rebuilt right now!

You can get in to a pretty new 2.5i for 10k. Honda Civic you can get in to one that's lower mileage and maybe like 5 years old I think. I know you can get into the SI hatch for that much for a clean one.

Forgot about the helmet, gloves, other safety gear, registration, insurance, lessons if he doesn't know how to ride and the dl process.

So call it an $8000 motorcycle at best.

But that is assuming it's his money... which it's not.
