If I recall, WMV movies can't be converted, at least easily. If I remember (my information is aobut a year old and recalling it from memory which is not perfict) to do this it would have to be streamed at full quality to a recorded or played in anolog to a vcr of DV cam then re-captured into a video editor that supports QT. if you use a VCR it will dramitically reduce the quality. If you use a DVcam it will be reduced, but not dramitically. It is all because you are taking the video and sending it out through an anolog device, and yes this is true with a DVcam 90% of the time, and then tanking it back into a digital format. It will take about 3 or 4 times the length of the video for timing. And in doing all of this, it may cause gliches and hickups or video and audio timming to becoming out of sink. Good luck. I don't have all of my equiptment hooked up and if I did, I would be able to help.

At least the version 6 of adobe premier could only write to WMV files and not convert WMV viles. MS is the b@stard on these things. they don't want their formats open to the public.

Mike if you have it on a fast connection, email it to eolivares at poetgene.com

Or if I end up going to bed, download TMPGEnc, convert it to AVI, the use premiere to convert it to Quicktime. I'm having trouble making the file sizes non-ridiculous though (2meg WMV becoming like 60+ meg .MOV), but it can be done.

Using premiere you can just bring the wmv onto your timeline and produce a quicktime directly from that by exporting your timeline. GL.
