Need some help with ticket
sry about spelling and grammar, im not in the mood to pay attention to that rightnow.
Basically I was cruising at around 120(wide open straightaway), I was looking at my speedo trying to see if it'd go any faster, when i looked up I saw a cop pretty far away in the emergency lane; in a matter of 2 seconds I was down to 75(good brakes), then the cop pulled out and followed me and eventually pulled me over. Cop said he got me going 101 on radar but wrote down 100 so its not in excess of 100 he said(is that true? i thought it was 100 and less, can someone clarify?). Now, I'm currently elegible for traffic school. This whole thing happened on hwy4 and I heared the judge in this county is ruthless and apperently if you're caught speeding on hwy4 he takes away your licence...I sure as hell hope not(can someone confirm?).
So can someone(smart) give me some good advice on how I should address this? I was thinking, step one is to keep extending the court date...from there I dunno.
TIA

umm i dont think they will take it away just a heavy fine. because i was 17 when mine got taken away. daredevil dont be laughing at me ill come to your house and steal your rollcage and brakes
if you have no prior or maybe 1 prior point on your license most likely you won't get a suspension, being as your 20 years old.
If the ticket just says "excess speed" and he wrote 100mph in a safe 65 or w/e u will need to appear in court.
Did you ask to see the Radar gun?
I'd first do a written consent admitting you were speeding, but not at the speed of 100, say mid 90's
and also on the ticket is the radar [ ] checked

you'll most likely have to appear in court because you were speeding in excess of 25 mph above the posted speed limit. the cop let you off because if he wanted to be a jerk he could have taken your car right then and there for going over 100.
there have been some pretty serious accidents on highway 4 in the past due to stupid driving and speeding so the judge may or may not be a jerk about it. i would call the court clerk and ask them about your situation.
...and lmao @ "cruising at around 120" what the hell were you thinking? i'd understand if you were out on 58 in the middle of the mojave at 3 in the morning or something but its pretty hot to do that anywhere in the bay.

"trying to see if it can go any faster..."
I may or may not have tried doing that once.
Not sure how helpful ticketassassin would be, but the website is www.ticketassassin.com

Good luck with it, but you got off the hook because the cop was nice and you were lucky it was close to 100, hopefully next time you will think twice about "cruising" at 120 because if he clocked you earlier you would've been SCREWED.

Hopefully you've learned a lesson and will keep your speed down in the Bay Area. There's a time and place for testing top speed and it isn't anyway near here!
It is possible to cruise @ 120 (and faster) for up to 130 miles ... legally on certain roads at certain times of the year. Entry fee is equivalent to cost of speeding ticket, but no points and no increased insurance costs. Check out these websites:

Glad you clarified which part of 58! There's cows on certain sections of 58 ... don't ask me how I know
