Ok so if you had a budget of $1,500 bucks to spend on audio upgrades what would you get? I don't know much about car stereo's but I do know I'm spending a lot more time in my car now so I need some kind of better sound than stock. Thanks for any help

 

Id spend 400 of it on some speakers and a better HU, then save or spend the rest on something else

 

<----I like my setup....it is quite a bit more than 1500 but you can go with a couple less things...

Get a Nice inexpensive set of Components for the front, Matching speakers in the rear...that will run you about 300 bucks...a decent amp to drive those....about 175-200...a 10 " or if you want a bit more bass a 12" sub with a 300rms amp to drive them (about 500-600)
than you have about 500 left over for a headunit...and that is plenty for a good one...

I say:
get a decent head unit for about 200 to 300
some good front components for about 250 to 300
ditch the rear speakers
an amp to run the comps for about 250
a 10 or 12" subwoofer: 200
and an amp for the subs: 250-300
thats about 1350
budget the rest for a box for the sub and wiring.
