Yup, fair enough, but wouldn't you expect battery maintennance to be part of the scheduled service? That why I pay them the $$s - to keep the car running well.

What if... I like my Optima better? Is that cool?

I mean, a lot of people have things that are way overkill on their cars, and maybe it is a waste but shoot, if you have the extra 11 or so bucks and you want a battery that you never ever ever have to worry about, what's the big deal?

Thanks.

+1...the last thing I want to think about is my battery when I get off work at night. I appreciate the piece of mind I get when I know that my car will fire right up. The optima may be overkill, but for the price its completely worth it...and not to mention those times when I go up to tahoe and need to start my car after a long day on the slopes.

true, I WOULD expect that....although, it seems even the dealer can forget about those lil buggers (thats where the laziness comes into play).

edgar,
im also wanting a yellow top for my audio system
i got the yellow group 35 from remybattery.com for 109.95 plus 30.19 shipping to my door

and yes it was a direct drop in w/o using extensions or anything since the group 35 is the correct size for the imprezas and some other subarus

edgar,
yellow top won't help with dimming

you would need a high output alternator to fix that
