hai..print out the screen with the violation from the govt website...then do what gagan said get the note written and notarized..try that and see what happens..daymn..shoulda tried this at first court appearance.

I suggest finding one of those free/volunteer type lawyers to help you out. It looks like what the cop sited you for was valid, but he was a real dick to enforce it (like writing a speeding ticket to somebody going 40mph in a 35 zone - valid, but unneccessary).

Right - encourage him to present perjured information....Good plan.

Now, if you had a standing agreement with your parents that when with friends who shouldn't be driving that you should drive, thats a different story (hint). I know I had such an agreement with my parents when I was 16-21.

If they truly don't mind that he did this, then it doesn't matter if it's before or after the fact. I'm not asking him to forge the date, I'm telling him to see if his parents will say that it's totally ok for him to do this, and were ok with him doing this that day.

I think that much, the understanding and permission from the parents would be enough to knock this one way down.
