Need help to setup my new coilover

Question Need help to setup my new coilover

i just got a set of tein SS coilover, i dont know how low i should adjust it, coz i heard ppl said AWD cars should not lower that much, coz it will break ur front and rear drive axle .... please give me some advise ...

Most coilovers are already pre-set by its manufacturer. on the SS, its usually about 1.5" drop in front, and 1" drop rear. If you want to adjust the ride height settings, use the adjusting wrench and turn the thread collar. After that, get an alignment.

pre-sets are ok

but if you want to get the most out of your coils that you spend good $$ on... get them tuned.

to me... its the only way!

if i drop it all the way .. will i screw up my car... like my differenal and drive axle something like that... coz thats the only thing i care about .. i dont care that much about my tires ...

no, it will not screw up your differential and axles.

are you saying by lowering your car that much with coil overs is goin to hurt the handling? please explain


i know slamming it is not the best idea... but i plan on getting JIC fla2's and i want little to know fender gap.. and they are completely adjustable so i can have full travel with very little fender gap...

why will it harm my car's handling, it suppose to improve the hadnling right ?

Are you a girl? Because if you are people here will suddenly be much more helpful. Tell you what, just say your a girl and tommorow morning you will have at least a dozen dudes at your place with tools and jack-stands ready to do what ever need done. Though if your not a girl you had better have one on hand to distract them.

I was saying that just lowering the car all the way and leaving it with no alignment or anything will hurt the handling.
