NEED HELP: my WRX dying
Hey
So, here is my problem:
My car starts jerking during driving at constant speeds and dies after letting gas pedal go for atleast 10 seconds (taking off ramps). It's fine when I come to the stop signs and red lights, doesn't die then. No CEL.
It's a 2005 WRX with 85K miles on it, stock with HKS bov and bellmouth pipe and stage 1 tune
My guess is fuel filter (since it's original), some ppl say Idle Speed Motor , don't know.
WHat do you guys think? Anyone had the same problem? THANKS

Classic BOV type of issue, or possible a vacuum leak.
You can always take off the BOV and see if it helps. Also checkl for looks clamps, tears in vacuum lines, etc. Any CELs?

just an fyi brooooo, if your map is not custom tuned for your BOV it will cause issues.
And just because you don't sell a CEL on your dash doesn't mean there isn't diagnostic codes showing up. Get an OBD-2 scanner or go to your local dealership and ask for a free diagnostic for issues.
Also, while it may sound odd, check your oil. if you're running low this could happen.
What kind of "stage 1" map do you have? Cobb? Open Source? EcuTek?

fuel filter would probably mean starvation.
Check this page for a list of the possible fuel related CEL codes:

change the fuel filter, reset your ECU and see if the problem "goes away".

Tomorrow gonna replace fuel filter (located in fuel tank in 2005 models). I'm guessing this is it cuz problem occurs during long decelerations.
Anyways, thank you guys for all the advices
