i have an early 04 wrx and i used to have the stub in the transmission axle setup but now im running a case from an 06 (i think) with 2009 wrx gears from dbtuned...the only thing you need to do to run a 04+ transmission is to get the front axles from an 04+ as well AFAIK

when paul had my car he didnt notice my car was the stub kind at first and when he realized that my car was an early model with the stubs, he ordered new axles from the later models and i was able to use the 06 case and im pretty sure thats all you need
