If none of that stuff works (which is pretty likely for the new strains of spyware), I can help you reformat.

Use the google toolbar to block popups. Or just switch to using FireFox as a browser ( www.mozilla.org ) which has built in popup blocking.

You could always install Linux

In addition to Ad Aware 6.0 and spybot 1.3. Also TuneUp ultilies www.tune-up.com free fully functioning 30 eval... you only need to run it once though.

Good luck

I recommend the housecall link. Most often, spyware will remove the pop-ups but more often then not, its usually a result of a virus if the scans from Spyboy/Adaware show you have a corrupted file in the registry. Use the housecall to do a scan on your Windows HD and do an auto clean. Then get programs such as ZoneAlarm, a pop-up blocker, Mozilla as a browser, and get yourself an anti-virus program like PC-Cillin or Symmanetc.

Yes a UNIX-based OS, a great toy for people who need to get work done, not get spyware installed just by visiting a website. Please, if you going to bash Macs try a decent arguement. The only thing I need a PC for (other than to test buggy IE CSS) is to play Half Life 2. Looks like the PCs a toy to me.

I love how the mac users equate the OS to the hardware come on pal pc's run unix too and just as well as the mac. I think its about time macs caught up to the linux group *chuckles*
