I think my air conditioning is shot. Kellie was in my car a week ago and it seemed like it wasn't working. She said my car needed to be moving for it to be on (but that's never been the case). Well, today, I took it on the highway and I was on for a few miles and tried the AC. Still blew warm air out.

Anybody here good with the AC system or know how to check what might be wrong? Possibly help me diagnose this problem?

I have an 04 STi with light mods (just exhaust and reflash) so I don't think that should affect my AC. Hopefully someone here can help me out before the extra hot summer days roll around.

Any help would be appreciated.

I checked the fuse box just now and the connections for the HVAC... they were good. Still no AC

I'm probably going to just call them up. Damn this madness. No compressor came on or anything when I hit the AC button. I'm starting to think maybe my relay is toast but... I would think it's uncommon.

When I got my RS, the ac wasn't plugged in at all. I had to open the hood and plug it in myself. I should have charged the dealer for their hourly rate . Do you run your ac a lot? You might need a charge.

When I drove all during the summer, it was on all the time. I'm thinking I possibly need a recharge. I'm honestly not sure what's wrong with it, lol. I'll keep you guys updated when it's figured out.

Seriously though....Charlie...I highly doubt you need a recharge already....one summer of use is not enough to use up all the Freon.....if it was like 4 or 5 years....then yea, I'd say that could be an issue.....but not on an 04. I'd bet on the relay or some other electrical issue.....after all, you HAVE messed around with the electical system a bit on your car, adding things here and there....maybe something go shorted out...? Good luck tho...atleast its not 100 deg. yet.
