Need Help!!

ok so my gf purchased me an ebay cf gauge pod, roof vane, and stri x-line gauges. is there anyone out there that knows how to install the roofvane? and also the cf pod we ordered was 60mm but my 60mm x-line gauges dont fit into it? what can i do to fix this? is there somethign i can use to bore out the hole a little bigger? need help!!! PLEASE!!! i want to install the roofvane asap!!! and by the way its on an 04wrx

Is it the STi roof vane or the vortex thing with the fins?

sti cf version roof vane not the evo vortex generator crap.. i dotn want no evo blood in my subi =]

Pretty sure you will have to drill into your C-pillar in order to properly install it. Attach it with some bolts. Then add sealant around it to prevent leaks.

However, to PROPERLY install it, i've read that you need the OEM brackets for the inside.

good thread but doesnt show how he installed it.. where he drilled holes... or where the bracket is at...

#1. Don't rush it, if you have no idea what you're doing let someone do it who will put it on straight.

Putting on the roof vane with no guide holes isn't that easy. Are the sides of it even painted? If not? Let me know I can paint it for you at a low cost..

How bout get some sandpaper and rub it all around the inside edge to try to evenly remove material, until it fits snuggly? (I mean does it barely not fit... or HELLA not fit) I was gonna say hole saw but that might not work out to well...

well.. it doesnt fit... i emailed the vendor on ebay... and he says its a 60mm gauge pod and they ahve been out of 52m for amonth but my stri 60mm gauge doesnt want to go in.. meaning its a 52mm right? so im pretty sure my pod must get borred out to 60mm but dang... sand it down...

Maybe a bit overkill, but a dremol on low speed should be gentle enough for the carbon fiber.
