Honestly I don't understand all the comparisons to all these other hatches. Pretty much all hatchbacks are a similar shape. The STI has plenty of styling features that help it stand out but in the end it is a hatchback and will bear a resemblance to any other hatchback. I think the issue is that Americans aren't used to hatchbacks as the primary type of car on the road so we tend to lump them all together. Most sedan's have similar shapes as well... I don't see people comparing the 04-05 STI to a Carola
