Hey, I'm new to this area and this is my first post on here. I need to get my car registered and whatnot. I'm just looking for some guidance. Do I need to get my car smogged first? Is smog the same as emissions testing here? I'm from Pennsylvania, and the rules are a little different. Also, my check engine light has intermittently come on and off, and I need a good shop. I'm looking into GST in Hayward since I am pretty close (I live in San Mateo). Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

 

you can try auto hq. i believe they are fairly close to you also. if your off 101. its south towards woodside exit in redwood city and kevin there is a great mechanic and i wont bring my car to anyone else but him.

Id go with Auto HQ too.

 

IMHO you can go to either shop .. both of them have good mechanics. but i believe auto HQ is closer. Also you would have to pay toll if you went to GST.
