Need to get some suspension work done

Specifically fixing my coilovers. I've heard Mann Engineering in Santa Clara specializes in suspensions so I'm leaning towards them but other than that I haven't heard much about them. Anyone have any experience with them?

They have a rep for being good, but pricey.

You might want to consider Auto Innovations in Milpitas or Goodies Speed Shop as they are both outstanding shops that can do the Wheel Alignment in house

Yeah I plan on taking it to Auto Innovations afterwards for an alignment.

I don't mind the price, as long as it is done right the first time.

Auto Innovations FTW!

I haven't gotten work done from Gary, but I did buy a set of springs from him. He's a cool guy, but I feel like AI offers more services that pertain to what I want to do with my car.

AI specializes in suspension work and with my car being NA, suspension is the only worthwhile area for me to mod. And the guys at AI are hella chill.

Gary is a good guy and I've chatted with him at track days. Like others have said, Mann is good, but you pay for it. I'd add that Gary has a very specific philosophy which means he recommends a very specific target of parts (which are very good). However, this leaves out many other good choices as well.

AI is THE place for precise alignments at very reasonable prices. Getting tires there is good too, particularly the "enthusiast" tires (summer, r-comps, etc)

Are you fixing your coilovers (which one's do you have?)? Or looking to get new suspension stuff?

based off of what you need done, I would probably take it to Mann engineering. or if you can manage the drive, LIC.

Yeah I have Bilstein PSS9 and Mike at GST basically told me the top hats need to be changed out and I don't have the time or tools to do it myself. I have the top hats but I'm not sure if that's the only thing wrong with them so I waited to get some professional advice.

LIC is a bit too far of a drive for me.

Well I asked them about a spacer being put in between the strut and the top hat and they said they don't know how to do that or where to get the parts from.

You might call them and see if they'll do it all at once.

I had them install some camber bolts for me before an aligment once. Charged me like $20 I think. Or free. Can't remember.

OP, What kind of work do you need done? Also if its Tein. Only Tein services their stuff. They are in Socal.

Oh ok. just read the rest of the thread. Do you just not have tools? Are your tophats loose?
