i understand what your saying but what does that have to do with anything i asked? haha

the cable i linked is a db9 female and most laptops dont have DB9 ports so i would be using a DB9 male to usb

and was asking if our cars OBDII Connector was a standard 16-pin

I don't know bout that ebay one but here is the one I got tactrix cable. The pins look different compared to the ebay one.

The tactrix cable is the one to get and it plugs right into your USB port.
