Been having an intermittent CEL as of late and was hoping someone in/around Oakland could pull the code for me. I know MPJ probably could, but no one answered the phone there. Any other suggestions? I called Kragen and Autozone and they both denied me

try unplugging the battery for 15-30 minutes that usually clears it. at least it works for me. only unpluggin the negative is fine.

 

D/C the battery only clears it, I think he wants to know what the CEL is for and why it came.

Yup. You hit the nail on the head. I'm well aware of the disconnecting the battery thing, us Legacy guys call it the "battery dance" I'd really just like to why the CEL came about in the first place. If it's just a sensor or some other easy crap, I'd like to know so I can plan accordingly. The car's running super smooth, and I can't for the life of me guess what the CEL is from. So yeah, anyone around Oakland able to pull a CEL?

Check your gas cap. You probably already know that, but I knew and forgot to check to. Freaked me out when I got the CEL. After about a half hour of sh!ttin bricks, I remembered to check the gas cap... Problem solved.

uhm if you can just go to MPJ and they will tell you the code. and then u can check a site to tell you wht the code is, ill tell you it if u need me too.
