get caught with a snap baton in the state of CA, and your looking at a felony, be aware.

双節棍 is the kanji for nunchaku, and literally translated means "twin sectioned bludgeon". Pretty direct and to the point IMHO.

Interesting idea, how many cops would actually charge you if you weren't using it in a mugging or gang fight? I know kids who have been caught with brass knuckles while being stopped for other things, and even someone caught with a switchblade in an airport at security. No one I know has ever been charged, worst that has happened was the contraband was confiscated.

Ask yourself this, is it worth the risk? A felony means you can never vote again, you can never own a firearm again, you will always be subject to judgment when looking for a job.

Oh I know, I wouldn't ever carry anything illegal, it isn't worth it. Chances are you'll have to explain why it is in your possession long before you have to use it in a life threatening situation. I'm also older and see the logic behind that, a lot of people interested in this stuff are 21 and younger who haven't realized they aren't invincible yet.
