You think the smog guys care... or research. There's nothing in the smog specs that says where a car's factory intercooler is mounted.
If it looks stock, they might not realize

If there's a bunch of chrome and colored silicon than yeah, it's obvious

 

I got the car last august. My original plan was to upgrade suspension, then go rebuild the bottom end to handle 400-350 hp. I finished all the suspension stuff last month and slowly peicing all the power adders.

I was hoping if anyone knew a easy way to pass the state ref with my current setup and I guess the answer is no. Ill have to spend a weekend to wrench all the stock stuff back on and wait until I can get all the parts I want.
