Not sure who you were addressing....
I am looking at trying to get up there for the Oregon Trail Rally the weekend before Rim of the World, but probably not for Subiefest

not likely. It would have to be something where at least 1 or 2 people road with me to cut costs...I"ll see if I can figure it out but we've got the wedding and I'm still working on the caddy and it's gonna require probably $5000 to finish...at least $3000. I've got like...>$600..haaa.

We know that you're not one of the "most of us"...and that the 30-45 is what you do in the hairpins on that road...

That's the TSD acronym for "Change Average Speed To" meaning that when you encounter that instruction you are to average that speed until either a pause instruction or another CAST is brought into effect.

I have every intention to play with Rpms during break in. The route that was suggested should aid in that. Everytime I have broke in a motor I'll cruise in 5th for a while, doen sihtf to fouth for a while, rev into 3rd. I'm mix it up as much as I can.

God, I love the roads up north! Pete, please tell me there will be a 2007 Golden West TSD!
I am going to head up to weaverville soon, possibly with a couple other WRX friends.
Drive up 1->101->36->3 stay the night in weaverville. Back down 3 to 36E to I5 for the boring way home.
The above route is a great short break in route.

Sadly this years Golden West will be a more mundane "tour de Tarmac" based out of Livermore, but I hope to make this year's Redwood Rendezvous an epic adventure
