Need 02 WRX Heads Urgently

I already posted in the classifieds but I figured I would also post here.

My 02 WRX with 107K miles has a blown head gasket but when the machinist inspected the heads they found cracks. So now I am looking for either very good condition heads or new heads. The dealership wants $650/head and I am just trying to see if there are any other options.

I think you can use 02-05 wrx since they are all on the 2.0

^ Thanks, but I need the actual heads.

I opted to go with the new heads from the dealer with the long-term goal of doing a hybrid build.

Those will crack too so I would expect to do more head work when you do the hybrid build.

Just curious why you would expect them to crack too. Do you mean before I do the hybrid build or after?

Before. They're notorious for cracking. I'd put money on the line that mine are cracked in several places.

Depends on how many miles between now and your hybrid. I've got 201,000 on my heads. LOL!

Ok, I know that is no surprise that there are cracks on my heads even with 107K. It was just a surprise to my wallet. I should have no more than 15K on these heads before I go hybrid so with any luck there shouldn't be any cracks.
