Tell me about it, those EZ-ups are hard. There's nothing easy about them at all...

We will be parked pretty much right in front of the main building, Jerry wants to build the Sm program with NASA so he is giving us our own paddock space... pretty neat.

****... No EZ-up. I'm talking about the 50' x 20' awning off the side of the transporter. takes about hour and a half with four guys...

I really wish NASA would have cared about spec miata while I was stil racing spec. We never had more than 12 cars and never received any sort of love from NASA. Pretty frickin' cool for you guys, if you ask me...

Yeah, Mike, racing is rough. You guys are stuck with that little renegade and I'm stuck hanging out with the featherlite. We sure know how to rough it, don't we...

I hope you don't sleep with 10 other smelly **** guys in your rig though, I have woken up in ours thinking I vomited in my sleeping bag then just realized everyone in the rig myself included just stink after 3 days at the track

David, what kind of times were you running in a spec miata at thunderhill w/ bypass?

Do you guys have any bypass tips? This will be my first event with NASA in the Miata.

2:06 is a fast time in an SM with the bypass, pro motor, whole setup deal, etc.

I would run 2:08-2:09 with the bypass and a completely stock motor. none of that cheating crap. take some of your rear negative camber out for thunderhill and remember not to lift for the bypass or for turn six. Just wood it through there. generally stay to the left when going over the bypass. try a few different lines during morning warm-up and check your revs coming out of five. the more revs, the more speed, the faster line...

Good to see everybody will be able to make it. I will probably blitz up Saturday morning. Looks like good weather this weekend.

3rd or 4th gear for bypass?

usually carry 3rd through turn 4 and remember to give up a little on turn 4 to setup for the bypass. you'll probably grab 4th gear on the way down the other side of the bypass...

FLAT for the bypass and T6!????

Holy crap you were either insane or driving a tremendously underpowered SM.

Well it was a pretty successful weekend for myself, looks like quite the opposite for the GST and LIC boys though.
