napa wine tasting/tourism/etc

Hey, I'm taking the GF to Napa this coming weekend and I'm curious what you all have done there and enjoyed?

Staying at the double tree in - any reccomendations on wineries to hit up, or ways to get around without having to drive?

Any suggestions would be welcomed..

Healdsburg/Dry Creek/Gyserville > Napa But then again I'm biased as my friends own a winery there.

Thumbs up

Vincent Arroyo in Calistoga is a must... Their stuff is nectar, and AFAIK it's about the only winery in the Napa Valley that doesn't charge a tasting fee. Plus, the owner himself usually mans the tasting room (well, barrel storage is more like it) and you can get your bottle signed if you buy one.

Zahtila is pretty good too, right across the street basically and well known for their killer zins.

It is definitely worth visiting. My friend used to be the tasting room manager there. Even he said the wines sucked.

I have enjoyed a glass or two there (usually the older stuff) and I liked it, so not everyone thinks it sucks.
