Cousin is visiting from Germany, need help with SF tourism stuff

Hey guys and gals,

My cousin is here for work this week and will be visiting me this weekend, so I figured I'd take him to SF for the typical tourism speil.

So far I have the Golden Gate Bridge, China Town, and Possibly Fishermans Wharf, which is actually pretty lame so I probably wont take him there.

I know this is sad and pathetic but I don't know SF worth a damn, I avoid it like the plague so I need you guys' help. Can you guys suggest any cool places I can take him? There are 5 of us going, all under 36 years old.

Looking for good spots to take photos and stuff he can't see in Germany.

since I live in SJ. I'm going to take him to the Tech Museum since we're the silicon valley after all.

Thanks guy, your help is greatly appreciated.

my sister just got a groupon thing for a 2.5 hour yacht tour of the bay. Usually $50 marked down to $30, so not too bad. You get mimosas too. Let me see if I can find you a link.

Where is he from in Germany? There's not much in SF that isn't better over there LOL.

Anyway, Chrissy Field, Legion of Honor, Ocean Beach and a meal at the Cliff House, Alcatraz, bar at the Marriott Marquis are a good place to start.

He's from the same place I'm from. Right near Stuttgart. We used to live in the same house.

I was also thinking of taking him to all the big tech companies, like Google, Apple, and of course Facebook and Adobe. Not to go inside or anything, just to drive by since he's into the tech scene.

Cool - I remember Stuttgart having a good modern art museum - if he's into that, then SFMOMA isn't bad - they had a Kiefer exhibition a few years back

Looks to me like groupon is sold out of the super cheap sf cruise tickets. I am sure with a little searching you could find some for a similar price.

I like to take folks to rogue brewery, then walk to Coit tower, then down to the warf, through the marina and over to the palace of fine arts.

They have to like walking though.

It was safe, so much that I had to look it up in a separate browser window to get a feel for what it was since the yelp ad didn't have pics really.
