n00b USPS mailing question
n00b USPS mailing question
I have a cc bill I need to pay that's due on the 22nd (Friday). If I choose Express Delivery (overnight delivery) from the USPS, it should get to the PO Box on the 22nd. What I want to know is that since the Post Office provides signature upon delivery, does that mean they'll hold on to the letter until somebody from the cc company comes to sign it?
I'll be heading to the post office bright and early tomorrow and asking the same question, but I would like to know if any of you know so that I can get a heads up.
Also, do cc companies care how a letter (payment of bill) is sent to them? I don't remember but I think I read somewhere that they only accept letters by 1st class only. Somebody please tell me I'm wrong
Oh also, I looked at other options on paying the bill (such as online or through phone) but I don't have a checking account (parents provide the checks, but I pay them back in cash), plus I don't know what the routing number (anybody know where to find that?) is for my savings account.

if it gets postmarked before the 22nd, cc wont say anything.
My mom always sends her payment with regular snail mail dropped in the mailbox the day before it's due.

my mom never had a problem mailing it wth the regular snail mail. The 3x cent one (dont know exaclty how much, i haven't mailed anything in the longest time). Dont worry about the late fee. If they try to add a late fee, say it wasn't your fault and just ***** and whine and they'll wave it =]

don't take the risk...whining to wave a late fee is gay....just send it via express mail...there is a no sig requiered option on it
Also, if you wan't a signature, you can still ask for it....the person who gets the mail for the company probably signs 20-30 or even more for certified letters, express mail, ect....its their job.

then i dont see the risk. My mom does it all the time, she doesn't have late fees.
and she's got more bills than i can count.
IF they tried to add the late fee, then u can complain about it, and they will wave it. I've seen it happen. And i didn't say it was my mom who got it waved. Still confused?
