STi's are exempt because they have drive by wire. It is controlled electronically.

they should recall the ABS too, everytime i try and brake on a bumpy road the ABS is activated! its partially my fault for having stiffer springs but still, bumpy roads shouldnt have any affect on the ABS

Curious,

Where is the new clip installed?

I'm guessing the by the CC Actuator? or is it farther downstream?

It is a tiny little clip that is clipped onto the side of the throttle body. If you follow the CC line all the way to the throttle body. It is just a clip that goes over the cable path so that way it will not come up. That is it.

If you do that, don't forget to pop your hood after the accident and pop the cc wire out of its track

I haven't got the mail yet, but how can I find out if my WRX is recall? Do they just fix it or I can return my car to them even 40,000 miles?

it just says if your wrx is made between 01-04, then it has this problem. you can check yourself, i don't know what it is called, but there is this like brass ring thing a wire wraps around, it is by the throttle body, attached to the intake manifold. and if there is no clip holding the wire in place on that ring, then you need it. if you look at the cruise control assembly you can follow the rubber hose (which the wire is in) to the brass ring.
