My WRX is being recalled

Service for a cruise control cable that can "come out of its track and lodge onto the control lever tab when the accelerator pedal is released," thus causing the vehicle "to behave as if the pedal is partially depressed and could cause the driver to lose control."

Just got it in the mail today, how WTLW is this notice, anyways?

Re: My WRX is being recalled

crap....i got my car around the time of that recall set.

I'm in the middle of a move and my mail is super iffy. Anyone know how I can find out if I am one of those cars if I missed my notice in the mail?

On top of that anyone with an 04 have any heat drying on their front grill.

My front grill has a big spot about the size of a softball that has been dried from intense heat...I mean you can see the wire mess in the dry spot. On top of that it's hot enough that it's leaving a brown spot on my clear bra....thankful Jeremy is already hooking me up on the bra issue. But I'd like to figure out if it's an 04 thing or if my car is tweaking...the guy at the dealership had no clue...asked if I used a chemical on it....which I haven't and no chemical could do that in that fashion.

any ideas?

Lots of little things...like insanely squeeky window...the driver one rides so close I have a huge scratch through my window tint. Few other things. Kind of un nerving at times for a 2004 car.

Carlsen/Kevin fixed mine when I brought my wagon in for another issue. Pretty nice of them.

Damn it. I was just at the dealership last weekend. They should have talked to me about that. I mean they adjusted my ebrake cable and my clutch cable.

15k tune up deal...well most of it.

I need to figure out what's up with my heat problem....

Wow, so it took over a month for the mail to get to me. Fantastic. I could have been stuck in a perpetually accellerating car for over 32 days by now!
