My windshield cracked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so yesterday I was driving home from work and a jeep infront of me threw up a rock and it chipped my windshield. So I was planning on going today after work to get it filled / fixed. On the way to work this morning I was driving along and heard my window pop and I looked at the chip and had now turned into a 6 to 7 inch long crack that goes the the edge of it now.
Does anyone know how much a new windshield will be for 06 STI??
Is the Glass in a WRX different than a STI?
And who should I go to??

Sorry if this is a repost sort of thread becuase I remember a thread like this about 6 to 7 month ago but I could not find it on here.

A lot of the time your insurance will pay for the replacement because it is a hazard. Call your insurance and see what they say.

when theres a crack, dont bother doing the fill in. Its because its expensive unless u get it for free. A fill in cost would be around 30-40 bucks right? That can save u a whole lot of money by getting a aftermarket windshield. I had my stock cracked 3 months after i had it, i been having a aftermarket one up to today.

I've been driving a windsheild with 3-4 cracks in it for the past two years. In phx its a daily thing to get hit with a rock there... We learned to live with it. I'm installing a new one next week when I get back here from my weekend trip to phx.

I had a rock hit my windshield about 2 months ago. There is two different types of windshields. One is a standard glass windshield and then there is a different one with a heating element built in. If you look on yours towards the bottom it would have like copper wiring that should be fairly obvious. If you don't have that its just a standard windshield. I got mine replaced for about 440$ with the standard windshield, it seemed a little pricey, but mine had a crack running across half the glass and I wanted it fixed lol.

I did mine with a group buy for PPG glass for like 200 don't remember. PPG is the way to go. Don't fill it. I wasted money filling it and it looks ugly. End up just replacing it.

Yeah. go to any shop and ask for PPG glass. If you dont' they will just use cheap mexican glass which cracks very easily. Just like the ones that came with the car.
