I spent the night trying to keep a storm drian clear...about 3 am it backed up anyway.
The rest of the night was spent setting up sand bags and breaking down my fence in the backyard so the water had an escape path...It flooded the condos in my backyard...and 5 cars or so.

This morning i wake up to the sound of chainsaws. It seems as though the two rivers (creek) coming down the hill overflowed and took out part of the hill with it. Blocking up the drainage pipes that take them under the road. I spent the first two hours of this morning trying to help the neighbor dig out the opening to the pipes. The water is about knee deep and about 20 feet wide. Just hope it doesn't take out any more trees. So far we've lost about 15. but only 2 smaller once blocked the road. An easy fix. We called the Marin Co fire dept. and hopefully they can get some big equipment in there to clear more stuff out.

But good luck with your own hell.

and happy new year.

Wow, so far we've been lucky, I guess... no flooding here as of yet, but the in-routes to Sebastopol are diminishing fast. My co-worker called me this morning and said he had to take Guerneville Rd. into Sebastopol because both Hwy 12 and Occidental Rd were under water. Also, his wife had to work in Petaluma this morning, and she said the cars at the Petaluma Auto Mall looked like they were floating in like 3-4 ft. of water!

Its been raining like a madman in Reno and Tahoe since last night as well. Its flooded like crazy here. I80 between Truckee and Reno is closed due to mud slide, and will likely be closed for another 2-3 days.

Last night was the worst of it. It should lighten up for the next few days, however, storms are coming in back to back to back...

El Nino came 3 years late, and apparently, it's hitting hard...
