Police are trained to look for things that are wrong, when you are always looking for bad everywhere you go (in people, public, anything) then it sort of makes you a negative person. They can't help it but their job does sort of require them to be grumpy all the time. The just don't see a reason to be happy because they are trained to not look for that.
The way i see it is that there are a lot of stupid people out there, and someone has to deal with them. I don't wanna be that someone so I'm glad we have cops out there.

I knew a guy who used to be a Los Angeles city cop about twenty years ago, after he served in the Air Force. I asked him why he quit law enforcement. He smiled and said, "I got tired of people shootin' at me." Good answer.

if cops are looking for bad stuff why are they following me when im not doing a damn thing wrong. EVERY time a cop has the chance to stop me and talk to me whether on foot or in my car they sit me down on the curb and decide they want to search me. so what if im 20 and im skinny like a crack head they shouldnt sit my *** down on the curb for 45 mins EVERY DAMN TIME FOR NOTHING. if i have nothing better to do and i feel like some entertainment i will be a dick back to them. then they tell me if you dont cooperate we will keep you here longer. "Ok occifer if it keeps the city safe then do what you have to do." they even try to search me without asking me thats when i start bein a dick. i will spread um and have him walk halfway up to me and then be like oh wait i dont HAVE to let you search me and sit back down on the curb.
