I forget the name of the salesperson I spoke with that day. I also test drove it on Friday as well. Were you there with Eric? I might have drove it after you.
Either way, they said the car is sold anyway...

I bought my WRX @ Cypress Coast Subaru in Monterey earlier this year.
Found the car on cars.com, e-mailed them, got an email back the same day answering my questions. I test drove the car in early December '07 with Rob. I told him I needed to sell of my existing car & part out a few things so I could get my credit score back above 700. I knew I couldn't ask them to save the car for me, but I definitely wanted to buy it once the credit scores got updated in Mid January '08. I never had to go back to the dealership.
I would email Rob once or twice a week to check in about the car & if its been shopped at all. Seemed like he was being a good guy about trying to keep it on the lot for me. Come about January 18th and I see my score is right @ 700, so I had Rob check my credit and with Subie/Chase my score was a bit higher so I said run my application and let me know what the numbers come out to be. I talked them down about $800 from sticker, we did all the paperwork electronically/via FedEx, including them sending the paperwork to my hotel in so. cal when I had to make a last minute trip for my job.
They delivered the car to me on Feb 1st and even sent me extra sets of keys/fobs at no charge because they couldn't find the 2nd set that came with the car. Ironically enough that's the second time it happened, first time was when I bought a Focus in 2000 from Future Ford in Roseville.
Overall great experience with Cypress Coast Subie, not pushy, & very patient...about the total opposite from every other dealer I've shopped with in the last 8 years.

Carlsen can get you the oner that you want, they also have great people that work with them
Hey Leo,
So what pricing did you end up getting on the EVO? And if you can keep us updated (or do me a favor and PM me) what you can get for the STI (with what options - I'm assuming you're going for base haha) I need a second car...
Thanks
Ambert

I didn't even bother with the evo pricing since I decided on STi. but my initial research shows 0% for 60 months is pretty much for sure but not sure how much off of MSRP. Few guys here are pulling some strings for me on the STi after I posted this thread. We'll see how that goes.
I'll PM you as well...

they'll rape you on trade in... they have to turn around and make money out of it so I don't blame them... that's why I just sell it private...

Carlsen Subaru...can't say enough about those guys. Best dealership, best sales experience I've had, with the exception of Freeman Lexus, but that's a lexus dealership hehe.
I will never buy another subaru unless it's from Carlsen Subaru. Not only did they give me the lowest price out the door of any dealership within 100miles, but they were friendlier, and obviously more excited about the cars they were selling. If they don't have the color/options you want, at least give 'em a shot at getting you what you want. I had no problems driving for 1 1/2 hours to their dealership to pick up my subie.

Well, i got my first car there like 8 years ago, so I didn't know...
I've actually met the son of the owner of Stevens Creek Subaru, a pretty nice guy. Ryan from Stevens Creek Subaru Parts (used to be at Fremont) is also extremely cool. Then there is Marcus from Capitol Mitsubishi (Capitol Mitsubishi and Stevens Creek Subaru = Same owner), my contact, was also helping me out through his contact at Stevens Creek.
Masood, the sales guy at Stevens Creek actually gave me a call today and helped me to locate a STi. (After Ryan, Marcus, and Sammy (<- Didn't know about this one, thanks!) Asked him to help me out on the deal and locate a car) He did find one and offered an extremely close deal, but it was too loaded with options and out of my price range.
BTW, Brandon, thanks again for your effort! <- This guy actually went to the dealership for me on his lunch break to see if the car is still there.
I-Club Rocks!
But I still don't have a suby.... °oO(135i?)
