There is zero reason for a street car to have an intake mounted like that. It's an awful idea, actually. Unless you want to kill your car.

They have a racing machine that doesn't see much water. Think about that.

Well I was running a stock airbox but I got an AEM CAI for my tune tomorrow with Ed and I do not like how it is exposed without a fender liner.

BUT I moved back up here a week ago from Socal and the car will no longer be my daily driver, an 07 Civic LX will be from now on, so I am not too worried about it seeing water anymore.

Either way I will probably be picking up a fender liner from you! But yea, not a daily anymore so not too concerned!

Love the sound of my CAI. As long as you're tuned for it and have a fender liner you'll be fine.

As much as I would like to do that with my setup Ed said I would be losing about 20whp, and I got a CARB sticker so I said **** it..

Seems super dumb to get a 400+ dollar tune without an intake.
