Damn that sucks. Electrical fire or blow a fuel line? I"m guessing the photos where from different times because the wheels are different.

Terrible man. Really terrible. Fires suck. I'm glad your family is o.k. Hopefully your home is o.k. and you had insurance coverage. Best of luck.

no idea what caused it, i drove it to get smogged but failed CO, so i drove it home, parked it with the hood open so it would be cool once i come home to try to change out the o2 sensor and panel filter. got a call from the fire department saying my house is on fire while i was still at work. the fire stayed within the garage but the rx7 was just bought and i only put 1 way insurance on it since i was planning to do the master seal rebuild and wasn't planning on driving it for a few months. luckily nobody is hurt and it's all contained in the garage.

 

Wtf!!

Oh no man! Sorry to hear. Do you still have your GC for a daily? It looks like the fire started in the engine bay from the pics.

 

just sold my gc, luckily i guess because if not the xt would have been burnt up with the rx7 since it parks next to it.
