Funny thing is, a few minutes later down 101 near Burlingame I was passed by a turquoise SC400 with matching 27" (or bigger?) rims.

Temporary Registration Sticker...the reddish sticker...is issued to folks who paid their regis fees but can't smog the car, etc.

The number indicates the month that the tag expires

Usually issued to non wealthy car owners, it allows the person to operate said vehicle while they are trying to get their **** in order.

Some DMV offices are cool and keep issuing new tags forever.
