My motor is ****ed

The #4 plug stripped out of the head and nothing will get it to stay in.

On the upside, it looks like I will be getting a WRX swap a little sooner then I thought. Who else has swapped a WRX motor into a GC RS? Who did your swap and roughly how much did it end up costing you to get it on the road?

Dan 2304K and I did a complete 04 STi swap in to a GC8 sedan. it's his car and money though.

I would suggest contacting Rat about getting a wrecked STi or WRX. If you can get a complete car, the wiring work is easy enough to do it yourself.

I will not be doing this myself. Wiring of a complete WRX harness into a GC RS is not easy nor is it for someone who knows little to nothing about car repair.

Spending a little money to get it done right the first time will certainly save you much time and grief in the long run.

You are already going to spend upward to $3 or 4k for a wrecked WRX. Might as well have them do the rest. Keep in mind that LIC will make it CARB legal.

Yea, get a quote from Rat about a wrecked WRX and then talk to LIC about your project. It's worth a shot even if you think they're gonna charge you more than you'd like to spend. Who knows?

Yeah. I think it is across the board in terms of price. LIC is about $8 or $9K (Whole Package). On FLi's website, it says they'll charge $3500 for Labor. If you can find another shop to even do it at half the cost that FLi does it, you'll still look at $5 or 6k for the swap.

You should talk to Rat/AlchemyMotors(?). You could probably get a wrecked WRX and part out everything you don't need for the swap.

I am sure people are looking for little misc. things here and there. I am still looking for a cheap WRX rear brakes (disc/caliphers/pads/hub) for a conversion for my Impreza L.
