My hood was popped when I came outside..
So I woke up yesterday morning to come out and see that my hood was popped on my car. I'm positive it wasn't me because I didn't work on my car that day, went to the SJ Giants game, and didn't pop my trunk so I couldn't have accidentally popped it. There didn't seem to be anything misplaced in my car and they didn't take my radar detector.
Is there a way that our hoods can be popped with tools and not having access to the inside of the car?
We've had quite a bit of mischief in my area lately between houses getting robbed and cars getting stolen so it really doesn't surprise me much that someone may have tried to see what mods are done to see if its a good candidate to steal.

your WRX gremlins overboxed the engine bay and needed fresh air. They never found their way back.
serious: ya man, that is sketch. ive only accidentaly popped my hood once when i was i a rush somewhere and just had my backpack sitting next to my clutch leg. when i got out and pulled my bag out, it snagged latch and popped hood. but i closed it right away. point being, NO, i do not think you can pop a subaru hood outside the cabin.

Was the hood just popped but not open? Or was it fully open?
I've accidentally hit the hood pull with my foot when getting out and popped the hood. Maybe you did the same and didn't notice?

Sounds sketchy. Might have to push the Fozzy inside too.
You can pop the hood from outside on many cars depending on how accessible the hood latch cable is. Never bothered to check on the Subaru though. I've had to do this with customers Hondas and a VW before.

Might check and make sure your latch is clean, try shutting the hood and then bang on it a little to see if it will pop open. My 02 had a problem where it would pop back open while driving because there was a bunch of dirt and grime stuck in grease, common issue I believe. Doesn't hurt to be paranoid though.
