I totally agree with you that it is bull, but that's how insurance sees it. Their point of view is that you should leave enough space between you and the car in front of you to be able to see if there is a hazard ahead on the road and take the proper precaution to avoid contact with the debris. I guess that's why so many people drive those huge SUV's so that they can run over anything they want without any damage to their cars.

By virtue of your statement '...and i have nowhere to go', you just made it an unavoidable object. Whether or not your insurance company believes that you had no other options is another matter entirely. What's being said here is that it's generally a good idea to make it crystal clear to the insurance company that the incident was unavoidable. If you leave room for doubt in the adjuster's mind, chances are you're not going to get covered. Their job is not to help you - their job is to save the company money.

haha thanks...i was wondering when someone on a message board was going to come in and be a jerk, oh well. lets just make it quick and ill just go and say yes im an idiot and its my fault to begin with, silly me for not being as alert and attentive as you...i guess im not worthy to be driving in a subaru anyway.
