My court order came in the mail...

And I'm just confused. As posted awhile ago, i got ticketed for VC22350 and VC275151A. Well the "AMOUNT DUE - TO POST BAIL" is $317.50 and the amount for "TRAFFIC SCHOOL AMOUNT DUE" is $206.50. My question is due I pay both amounts ($524), or do I just pay for the bail or just pay for the traffic school. The bottom of the citation said "PAY ONLY ONE AMOUNT FROM BOXES ABOVE", which just confused me. So do I write a check for $524? or can I just write a check for $206.50 and go to traffic school?

So now I am stuck with a CVC 22350 and CVC 27151 (a) violation in Cali. Meaning that I was supposibly speeding and have an exhaust that violates the sound restrictions in CA.

that was from his ticket thread

VC22350 = Speeding
VC27151A= Fix-it for modified Exhaust

Edit: Wow, that was fast reply. But thats what they were for, and Im not going to fight the ticket, decided to just go to traffic school. Just wondering about how much I got to pay.

bring the ticket to court, and asking them would be your best answer.

So that would mean just wait for my court date (26th) and just show up with my checkbook or just go to the courthouse someday and find out?

go to the courthouse someday and have the "judge" aka the lady at the window read your ticket and see what her explaination is

If it says choose only one from the boxes on the paper, I'd choose the cheapest amount and pay it, but that's just me. Why pay both when it says you don't have to?

I was thinking that at first, but then I thought about what if it meant pay ONE amount as in, one check. That's why Im confused, if it were the case before, I would of gladly paid to go to traffic school rather than pay $524 in one check. Anyone know about what I'm talking about?

I understand what you're saying. Perhaps you should consult the bailiff and find out heh.

Yeah it's really confusing. What they're trying to say (if it's at all the same as my last ticket) is that you can pay $206.50 and go to traffic school. They will mail you information on how to take care of traffic school after they get your check. Read the whole thing again very carefully and you'll see this is what they mean. =)

That's how it worked for me. Also, I was able to do most of the traffic school stuff online and just go in for only the exam. A friend of mine got a ticket in a different county (don't remember which was which) and was able to do it 100% online.

I heard about the online courses, they seem better than sitting in a room for 8 hours, haha. Thanks a lot for clearing everything up for me, I guess I will be paying the $206.50 and trying to take the online course.
