My car is using up too much oil
my last oil change was about 2 months ago and i recently just checked my dipstick and it was way below low and barely any on the stick. i only put about 2570 miles on the car ever since the last oil change. this have been going on for the last 2 or 3 oil changed that i've done. can somebody explain what might be the problem?
You know it's a really strange thing with Subaru engines, some burn a ton of oil, some don't burn a drop. I've heard of people taking their scoob to the stealership with excessive oil burning problems only to be told that burning a quart between changes is normal!
You might want to take it to a local shop (Adam at LIC in Novato is top notch at diagnosing problems, in the East bay Mike at GST is quality) and get them to look it over.
What kind/weight of oil are you using?

Honestly, if you're asking this question on an internet forum just save the trouble and take it to a mechanic.
Because there are a hundred places where oil commonly leaks from:
- turbo CHRA
- turbo oil return
- piston rings
- valve seals
- rear main seal
- didn't screw on the oil filter/drain plug right
- headgasket
- PCV valve
that's just off the top of my head
