My car got attacked

My car was keyed all over the hood, a scratch the length of the roof, and a scratch on each of the passenger doors. I'm overly broke right now so I cant pay for it out of pocket or a big insurance deductable. All appear to be down to the metal. Should I just keep it waxed untill I can properly take care of it so it doesnt rust?

I have a very good idea of who it is, but no real way to prove it. They are only 17 tho and no physical evidence that I know about.

Any advice or anything is appreciated.

I'd atleast file a report, it can't hurt. If it's over $1000 in damage then it's a felony (in some states atleast). Keep it waxed for sure. I just noticed a paint chip near my antenna that is down to the metal and it is rusting.

WTF???? That truly sucks Patrick. Revenge is a dish best served cold. If you can't prove it was them, and you're pretty damn sure who it was....well then...

Find the person and take their keys and check it for paint residue or something.

I'm 99% sure it was my key and I already checked it, it was clean =( I just washed the car and some of the scratches are less noticable, but the clear coat is messed up.

mother****ers get shot for less.

Go for the achilles tendon, make sure that they'll remember it for the rest of their life.

Nice friends? Split personality?

In regards to your insurance, it may go up depending on how many comprehensive claims you've had within 5 years.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear this happened Patrick. Sucks :-/

Now that I've read this thread fully to this point, its making less and less sense to me. You were hanging out with some friends inside somewhere and needed your cars keys for what? To get smokes from your car? And then they keyed it? With your own key?
