My Brother and Leukemia
Hello all my fellow BAIC Subaru enthusiasts.
This past Monday, my younger brother was diagnosed with the ALL Philadelphia strand of Leukemia. This is quite possibly one of the hardest things I have had to deal with in my entire life. This specific strand is the toughest and hardest to deal with, and is the worst of the bunch.
He is a young 27 year old who has a love for life that I have never seen before. He is athletic, active, and super healthy. 6 weeks ago he started to feel slightly off, and by last Friday his blood counts were so low that the Doctors said they honestly do not know how he was still alive.
Here comes the kicker in all of this, he is a self-employed marketing and brand manager who does not have Health insurance. In order to get him into the hospital he needs to be in, I need to ask for the help and generosity of everyone out there. If you can find it in your heart to help at all, I will forever be indebted to you. Even if it's only $20, it will help.
You can find more info about Jeff and his illness on the Raise It Now page I have created for him. Please, if you can help. At the very least if you can't contribute please pass the link along to anyone you may know. The more people I can get the word out to the better.

For those of you who can't do it through the website, or would prefer to send it to me directly I can PM you my address and you can mail it.
I won't be able to get down to you, but thank you for the thoughts. I just got back from New York today, and have to go back out there in a few weeks to do a bone marrow test to see if I am a candidate for donation. There may potentially be another trip in between there, but I really am not sure what the plan is as of right now.
I am still having trouble just processing that this is even real.
